Posting Settings

Configure how Confetti Bot delivers celebration messages to your team. Access these settings from the Home tab by clicking Posting Settings under “Settings & Admin”.

Timezone Configuration

Set your workspace timezone so that celebrations are posted at the right time for your team. Choose from common timezones like America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Tokyo, and more.

Posting Time

Choose when celebrations are announced during the day. Set a posting time (in 24-hour format) and celebrations will be delivered at that time in your configured timezone.

For example, setting the time to 09:00 means celebrations will be posted at 9:00 AM in your workspace timezone.

Channels

Choose the channels celebrations are posted in. Add as many as you need, up to 20, and for each one choose:

• What to celebrate: birthdays, work anniversaries, or both
• Who to celebrate:
  • Everyone: everyone in the workspace is celebrated there, whether they are in the channel or not. A good fit for #general or a company-wide #celebrations channel.
  • Members of this channel: only the people in the channel are celebrated there. A good fit for team, office or region channels like #team-sales or #nyc-office.

For example, you can post every birthday and work anniversary in #celebrations, and also celebrate the sales team’s birthdays in #team-sales.

Good to know:

• Someone celebrated by more than one channel gets a post in each.
• Channel members are checked when celebrations are posted, so people who join or leave a channel are picked up automatically.
• If every channel for birthdays (or work anniversaries) only celebrates its members, people who aren’t in any of them aren’t celebrated. Add a channel for everyone to cover them.
• For a private channel, invite Confetti Bot to it first.
• Channel changes are saved when you click Save in Posting Settings.

Multiple channels are available on every plan, including Free.

Weekend Handling

Configure how celebrations are handled when they fall on a weekend:

• Friday Before: Weekend celebrations are moved to the preceding Friday
• Monday After: Weekend celebrations are moved to the following Monday
• Actual Day: Celebrations are posted on the actual day, including weekends
