Connect your HR system to automatically sync team member birthdays and hire dates.

HRIS Integration

Confetti Bot can automatically sync team member data from your HR system, eliminating manual data entry. HRIS integration is available on the Pro and Unlimited plans.

Setting Up HRIS Integration

  1. Open the Confetti Bot Home tab in Slack
  2. Under “Team Data”, click Connect HR System
  3. Select your HR system from the list
  4. Follow the authentication steps (OAuth sign-in or API key, depending on the provider)
  5. Authorize the connection

Once connected, your team member data will begin syncing automatically.

What Gets Synced

Confetti Bot syncs the following data from your HRIS:

  • Team member names
  • Email addresses (used to match team members to Slack users)
  • Birth dates
  • Hire dates
  • Employment status (active/terminated)

Sync Frequency

You can configure how often data syncs:

  • Daily — syncs once per day
  • Every 12 hours — syncs twice per day
  • Weekly — syncs once per week

You can also configure what time the sync runs (in your workspace timezone) and trigger a manual sync anytime using the Sync Now button.

Handling Team Member Changes

New Team Members

Automatically added when they appear in your HRIS. Confetti Bot matches them to Slack users by email address.

Departing Team Members

Automatically removed from celebrations when marked as terminated in your HRIS.

Updated Information

Changes to birth dates or hire dates are synced automatically on the next sync cycle.

Unmatched Team Members

If a team member’s HRIS email doesn’t match a Slack user, they will appear as unmatched. You can view unmatched team members in the sync status dashboard and update either the HRIS record or Slack profile to resolve the mismatch.

Privacy & Security

  • Confetti Bot only accesses the data needed for celebrations
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • You can disconnect the integration at any time
  • We never share your team member data with third parties
