Grouped Celebrations

When multiple team members share the same celebration day, Confetti Bot can group them into a single message instead of posting separate announcements.

How Grouping Works

With grouped celebrations enabled, if two or more team members have a birthday or anniversary on the same day, Confetti Bot will post one combined message mentioning all of them — rather than individual messages for each person.

This helps keep your celebration channel clean and avoids notification overload on busy days.

Enabling Grouped Celebrations

  1. Open the Confetti Bot Home tab in Slack
  2. Click Posting Settings under “Settings & Admin”
  3. Toggle the grouping option on or off

Individual vs. Grouped

  • Individual (default) — Each team member gets their own separate celebration message
  • Grouped — All same-day celebrations are combined into a single message

Choose whichever approach feels right for your team. Smaller teams may prefer individual messages, while larger teams often benefit from grouping to keep channels manageable.
