Early Reminders

Early reminders let you get a heads-up before an upcoming birthday or work anniversary, so you have time to prepare a gift, card, or special message.

Setting Up Early Reminders

1. Open the Confetti Bot Home tab in Slack
2. Under “My Celebration Settings”, click Early Reminders
3. Configure who you want to be reminded about and how far in advance

Choosing Who to Watch

You can set up reminders for celebrations using different watch modes:

• Specific users — Manually add individual team members you want to be reminded about
• Channel members — Sync with a Slack channel so you’re reminded about everyone in that channel
• Direct reports — If your HRIS is connected, automatically watch your direct reports

Reminder Intervals

Configure how many days before a celebration you want to be reminded. For example, you might set reminders for:

• 14 days before — start planning
• 7 days before — finalize preparations
• 3 days before — last-minute reminder

You can set multiple intervals to get reminded at each stage.

What Reminders Include

Each reminder is sent as a Slack DM and includes:

• The team member’s name
• The celebration date and type (birthday or anniversary)
• How many days until the celebration
• Suggestions for preparation (gift, card, message)

Managing Reminders

You can enable or disable your reminders at any time without losing your configuration. You can also set up multiple reminder configurations with different watched users and intervals.
